Free Seminar! “Specialized Academic Coaching: Preparing Every Child to STORM the Test”

Brainstorm SAC logo

Specialized Academic Coaching–or SAC–is an educational solution designed for students with a variety of Learning Difficulties, both diagnosed and otherwise. A Specialized Academic coach will focus on skill-building for the unique challenges a learning difficulty poses in the academic environment.

Kathy Acosta, BrainStorm’s Director of Specialized Academic Coaching–along with BrainStorm SAC coaches Donna Alulema and Julie Sisselman–will present an exclusive, free seminar: “Special Academic Coaching: Preparing EVERY Learner to STORM the Test.”

BrianStorm is excited to announce that we have partnered with Dr. Maria Salvanto for this event. Dr. Maria specializes in educational planning and will be present to speak on the topic of IEP’s, Academic Assessments…and how together we can help your child STORM the test!

Where: BrainStorm Learning & Arts Center
808 High Mountain Rd
Franklin Lake, NJ 07417

When: Monday, September 29th from 7:00-9:00pm

In this seminar, the Coaches will provide:

  • An overview of common Learning Difficulties (ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, processing disorders, Asperger’s, speech & language delays)
  • Learning-style-specific study tips for students struggling with Learning Disorders
  • A “how-to” on advocating for your child in school–including an arsenal of tools to which you may not even know you are entitled!

Whether your student has been diagnosed with a Learning Difficulty or simply struggles in a traditional classroom environment, you will learn about Specialized Academic Coaching and how it can equip your student for academic success through:

  • Goal-setting
  • Time management
  • Organization
  • Study skills
  • Focus
  • Unleashing the power of your learning style
  • Building strategies that work with the Learning Difficulty–not in spite of it.

Space is limited for this one-night-only event. To register, email katie@stormthetest.com with the names of each attendee in your party and your best contact phone number.

This is an all-ages event–come on your own or bring the family. We hope to see you there!

Conquering Obstacles through Life Coaching

Coaching is one of the greatest resources available to help you unlock your highest potential and live your life to the fullest.

If you are in the midst of a difficult season or are challenged by moving forward from your past or current circumstances, perhaps working with a life coach is the answer.

life coaching signs

What is a life coach?

A Coaching Relationship is designed to empower you with the focus, training and accountability you need to achieve the consistent results you desire in the most important areas of your life. Coaching will equip you with the tools necessary to help you accomplish all that you were meant to do. Just as a personal fitness trainer will help you raise your standards for accelerated results when it comes to your body, so a coach will guide and support you in attaining your desired results in your life.

Through accountability, encouragement, powerful questions, and coaching, a trained coach can help you fulfill your highest calling.

Who should work with a coach?

Any person (men women, teenager) who is looking to enhance his/her life in any area, including (but not limited to):

  • Business
  • Marriage
  • Career
  • Decision making
  • Parenting
  • School challenges
  • Achieving your dreams
  • Goal setting
  • Relationships
  • Leadership
  • Purpose & Passion

If you are interested in life or business coaching sessions, contact Janine Monize at 973.723.02921 or email janine@stormthetest.com
