
Some believe that the future of college education in the United States will continue down a rosy path of climbing enrollments. Another camp, however, opines that rising tuition and other factors will result in a dramatic decrease.
At the Georgia Institute of Technology, a commission was formed to look into the future of college education, envisioning conditions in 2040. The commission concludes that colleges and universities will have to change along with the needs of students and the economy.
